When Trump imposed record tariffs on products from China the prices of those items barely increased because the companies that produced those items PAID THE TARIFF AND KEPT PRICES LOW. The profit margin on Chinese made goods is so high the companies there could afford to eat most of the cost of the tariff. When Trump announced the tariffs the media went crazy talking about price increases. However, that "wave" never came. However, The first thing Biden did when he got into office was remove everything Trump did (executive order-wise), including making it harder to get permits to drill for oil, increasing costs of drilling for oil, and stopped production of the Keystone pipeline, all these things vastly increasing the price of oil, and thus transportation of everything in the country, increasing prices of everything. Now imagine.....Trump is in office, puts all his policies BACK IN PLACE, *REDUCING THE COST OF OIL AND THUS EVERYTHING.. * and then the tariffs are put in place and prices *might* go up barely a little......and you DON'T PAY ANY FEDERAL INCOME TAX!!! You will still come out ahead, and especially so much more from where you are today.

A flat tax on all goods is what should happen. Tariffs would make a great compliment. Taxation on goods would ensure that everyone would pay their share.

Increase manufacturing here in America so our goods aren't imported. That's the way things used to be when I was growing up. Products were a lot cheaper and made better. We didn't depend on items made in China.

Keeping the 22% of my income they're taking will more than pay for a potential 3% price increase on limited products.

Thing is it would work nicely imo and a lot of new businesses would start making products in the US which will result in more Jobs openings since now US citizens would compete in the foreign market. But again he is only in for four years and then what, the next president could just shut it down. Our country’s four year term is both a blessing and a curse. If foreign goods goes up by 3% and the price of fossil fuels goes down by more than 6% (it went down more than that in his first presidency) all while inflation goes down by more than 3%, Americans will be saving a lot more money. To include the removal of federal tax, we would actually vegina to decrease the poverty level. Crazy🥹 I don't know if Trump could do it in 1 term, but if he does, we as a country are MUCH better off.
